Spectacular skiing with the stunning backdrop of Mont Blanc.

Few resorts can match the splendour of the Chamonix Valley, dominated by the majestic dome of Mont Blanc and its attendant pinnacles and glaciers.

The majority of the skiing in the valley is suitable for the intermediate skier. Of the five separate areas, it is only the Grands Montets above Argentière which has given the resort its reputation as a Mecca for extreme skiers. The remaining four areas offer a variety mainly aimed at the intermediate to good skier. Wherever you choose, stunning scenery greets you at every turn, from mighty Mont Blanc to the amazing glaciers.
Child Care
NURSERY, SNOW CLUB, COCOA CLUB - All Esprit child care is based in the Chalet Hotel Sapinière and we also run a free  Baby-listening/Child-patrol Service in the evenings from 7.30-11pm.

Five mornings a week, children in Esprit Sprite classes and Spritelet Snow Clubbers are collected from the hotels meeting point by our staff (and/or the ski school instructors) and taken to the appropriate slopes for their lessons or to the Snow Club for morning fun.
At the end of the morning lesson or Snow Club, children joining Supervised Lunch, afternoon Snow Club or with afternoon Sprite sessions will be collected and returned to the Sapinière for lunch.

The Snow Club is based in the Sapinière with outings for their specific snow fun activities. All children in afternoon Sprites or Spritelets will be taken to and collected from their session by our staff and will join the Snow Club children for the remainder of the afternoon, before high tea.
We ask that Nursery children are delivered to the Nursery by their parents. Nursery lunches are held in the Sapinière.  Nursery children must be collected by their parents at 5pm and accompanied at high tea, whilst all other children will be supervised by our staff through high tea until 6pm.

Cocoa Club runs in the Snow Club room from 7.30pm until 10pm on six nights a week and is available to all children aged 6-12 years. Parents are asked to deliver and collect their children. Parents can put their children to bed and enjoy a further hour of relaxation, making the most of our baby-listening/child-patrol service, which runs till 11pm.
The Skiing
EXCLUSIVE ESPRIT MINIBUS SERVICE
Every morning at a set time, our own Esprit minibus takes parents to the slopes. Each day a different Chamonix area is selected and parents are dropped off right outside the relevant lift station. Return is at your own leisure using the local ski buses with a stop a mere 50m from the Sapinière.

FAMILIES ****
Chamonix is an excellent resort for families who want to do more than just ski together. There is a large sports complex offering all kinds of sporting activities, as well as ice caves to visit, scenic mountain trains and the breathtaking Aiguille du Midi cable car ride up to 3842m to experience.

BEGINNERS ****
Beginners are well served by a variety of slopes in and near the town centre and the extensive nursery areas in Chamonix town and Le Tour, easily accessible from our Chalet Hotel.

INTERMEDIATES *****
Directly opposite Mont Blanc, Brévent and Flégère are good all round areas and also good spots for first black or off-piste runs. After fresh snowfalls they are also superb for safe, simple powder skiing. Le Tour is an excellent area for intermediates converting to parallels with spectacular views down the valley, particularly enjoyable for a days family skiing.

ADVANCED *****
The Chamonix area, and Argentière in particular, is world famous for skiers wanting a challenge and plenty of off-piste work. The topmost Grands Montets pistes give access to fantastic, exhilarating glacier runs, and the snow cover at these altitudes is reliable throughout the season.

POWDER POTENTIAL *****
Off-piste powder courses are available from the local guide company, offering wonderful skiing in the Alps most glorious setting. The famous Vallée Blanche is an incredible 24km descent down a glacier, through spectacular scenery. This memorable day out is suitable for most skiers but must be skied with a local guide, bookable locally.

SNOWBOARDING ****
Chamonix is one of the best of our resorts for snowboarding with natural half- pipes, gullies galore and vast off-piste options.

Our Esprit Ski Escort will be available for at least 2 days of the week to ski with you and introduce you to the area.
Extra Information
APRÈS SKI
The après ski varies from the sophisticated and expensive for those venturing into the Casino, to the relatively cheap and very lively. With over 80 restaurants a large range and variety is available to enjoy an evening out on the hotel staffs one night off. There are also several lively nightclubs in Chamonix town centre guaranteed to exhaust those with energy to spare.
