Welcome to our brand new range of exciting resort adventures, selected to add extra dimensions to your family ski holiday this winter!
From gentler, family fun outings such as tobogganing or a horse-drawn sleigh-ride, up to the adrenaline-charged highs of snowmobiling or paragliding, there are so many ways to add even more unforgettable experiences to your week in the snow.
A selection from each resort’s own ‘adventure menu’ is shown on each individual resort introductory page, and these can be pre-booked with us for your convenience, in exactly the same way as your child care or ski-pack requirements. When you arrive on holiday, your Resort Representative will then be ready to discuss preferred days and times with you where appropriate, and to make all the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
Please talk through any questions with our Reservations Advisory Team on 01252 618 300, as they have even more details for you on most adventures.
We look forward to helping you add even more great memories to your Esprit ski holiday this coming season!

Look at these exciting adventures you can enjoy!
Husky-Sledding – Experience the unrivalled thrill of ‘driving’ your own team of huskies or being a passenger during this exhilarating adventure. These mountain dogs have an affinity with the snow, and they just love to run!
Biathlon –Designed especially for Esprit and exclusive for our guests this gives you the opportunity to experience this high adrenaline Olympic sport - cross-country skiing followed by target shooting!
Tandem Paragliding - When conditions are right, the skies above many of our resorts come spiralling alive with multicoloured parachutes soaring on the thermal air currents. For many guests, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for an unforgettable bird’s eye view of the Alps, and is one that nearly all ages can enjoy, flown of course by a qualified paragliding pilot.  For some flights, you take off on your skis, whilst others require only sturdy footwear for the running take-off and landing. For all flights, sunglasses and warm clothing are essential, and a camera highly recommended!
Snow-shoeing - it may look as if you have tennis rackets tied to your feet, but this it the ideal way to discover the hidden winter wonderland of your resort with your qualified mountain guide. You can venture off the beaten track through beautiful, snowy forests and secluded snow-filled bowls. No experience is required, but participants should have a good general level of fitness and stout, waterproof boots. Equipment, instruction & guide all included.
Ice-Climbing - an introduction to this exhilarating sport, either at a specially created indoor or outdoor ice-wall, or on a frozen waterfall! A full safety briefing and full technical instruction will be given by your instructor before you are harnessed and roped, ready to tackle the ice! No previous experience is necessary, but we recommend participants have a good level of fitness. All equipment and instruction is included.
Tobogganing - simple, but such fun! Since wintersports began, tobogganing has been a firm favourite for all ages, and our resorts offer some of the best exclusive runs! Using either a traditional wooden sled or a more modern plastic spoon-style toboggan, you will slide amid fun and laughter through tree-lined floodlit runs. A celebratory hot drink for everyone is included!
Austrian Curling - otherwise described as ‘bowls on ice’! Imagine exchanging a green for an ice-track, and a round ball for a weighted wooden disc with a sticky-up handle, and you have the basis of Austrian curling. Tactics vary from the subtle and skilful to the more straightforward ‘rocket’ to blast your opponents’ best shot out of the way!
Snowmobiling & Quad-Biking - two adrenaline-inducing activities that are sure to get your hearts racing!  Both these hugely popular snowsports give the unbeatable thrill of speeding across the snow, using separate routes of course to the ski pistes. Instruction is given by a qualified guide, who accompanies you all the way, and you can choose to drive yourself or travel pillion with a partner. Different age restrictions apply - see the relevant resort pages for details.
La Plagne Bob-Sleigh Run - zoom down the Olympic bob-sleigh run on your own special amateur ‘bob-rafts’, or experience the ultimate thrill as a passenger with a professional racing-bob and driver! Whichever you choose, the sensation of speed simply takes your breath away, and many of our Belle Plagne guests describe this as a definite highlight of the week.
Try out the new ‘Snow-Fox’ - this new craze is sure to be a popular activity! Your ‘Fox’ is basically a mono ski with a seat, similar to a bicycle’s, and on your feet you wear snow blades.  Using balance and a ski-like technique you’ll soon master this novel downhill challenge, but be prepared for a few curious stares from other skiers!
Para-Skiing - an incredible new snowsport, where you ski with the aid of a mini-parachute, using the ‘lift’ from the air for speed and balance, and to help you turn little jumps into impressive leaps as you literally ‘take off’ briefly as you ski over them!
Horse-Drawn Sleigh-Rides - the perfect way to tour round picturesque villages in the crisp mountain air, whilst snuggled comfortably under warm blankets in the sleigh. Enjoy a romantic excursion for two, or introduce your children to this traditional mode of transport in the mountains.
Snow-Cat / Piste-Basher Driving - every skier who’s ever watched these awesome machines roaring up the mountainside surely wants to have a go themselves! Now here’s your chance to test your piste-basher driving skills on a special circuit, accompanied by a qualified driver.
Alpine Sight-Seeing Flights - light aircraft, microlights, helicopters and even hot air balloons are all on offer!  Take to the air for unforgettable, exhilarating views of the Alps! The awesome splendour of peaks and pinnacles, glaciers and snow-covered forests takes on a completely new dimension when viewed from the air - don’t forget your camera!
Children’s Torch-lit Descent - an exciting early evening event in La Rosière, laid on by the ski-school specially and exclusively for all children in Esprit ski classes, (ski ability permitting.) Definitely an adventure to tell the class about back home!
Snow-Biking - imagine a bike with short skis in place of wheels, mini-skis attached to your feet for balance and steering, and you’ll get the general idea! Also available as one activity in our Multi-Sports Pack, which is your chance to try out several fun new ways of getting down the piste, including snow-bikes, air-boards, snowblades, and skier-cross!
The Vallée Blanche - Ski the Legend! - Chamonix’s second icon (after Mont Blanc itself) is the incredible Vallée Blanche - 24 kms of breathtaking glacial scenery, all the way down from the top of the Aiguille de Midi, led by a qualified guide. You don’t need to be an off-piste expert, as in good conditions, the run can easily be enjoyed by confident intermediates too.
