		<description>Having worked at Esprit many years ago, I&#039;m in favour for the clean easy-to-navigate site. It&#039;s a great resource however I was slightly disappointed that the text is cut straight from the brochure.

I understand the reasons why bookings cannot be done online (product has too many variables) however it is useful to see availability and many other ski sites have adopted this. Floorplans would also be useful too!

But all in all, good so far.</description>

		<description>With the launch of our new website we have had a couple of feedback comments querying why we don’t offer on-line booking so we thought we’d share our thoughts on this subject with you all.

We want to give all the families who ski with us the best possible Esprit holiday and more often that not this involves lengthy discussions with our knowledgeable Reservations Team, all of whom have visited our resorts and properties and are best placed to answer  the myriad of queries that arise during an individual family’s booking process.

It is not just the resort and the chalet that comes under discussion, it will be the location of the chalet, the appropriate room/ suite and whether it will fit one or two cots, possibly a put-u-up bed and does it have a shower fitting over the bath, the child care facilities and which class is relevant for each child, bearing in mind their age and previous experience, the child care locations in relation to the chosen chalet, the ski school options for  adults, and so on.  All these detailed subjects cannot be translated into a rigid on-line booking system and the last thing we want is families booking holidays that do not suit their own family’s requirements.

Granted, a returning Esprit family who have travelled with us many times and who knows exactly what they want may be able to navigate the complicated permutations of an Esprit Ski holiday without assistance, but the majority of our families prefer the reassurance of dealing directly with people who are passionate about Esprit, and experienced in matching individual families to appropriate holidays.

So we are not looking to launch an on-line booking system in the near future, not because we are not techno-savvy but because we firmly believe it wouldn’t be in the best interest of our guests.

First impression disappointed.  It needs to be more interactive - perhaps ascertaining client needs and then recommending options.  It also presumes that you have a paper brochure when viewing the site.  For example when in the childcare area if refers to additional information on Page 12 - if you dont have the paper brochure where do you go to find the information.

Feels like the paper brochure cut and pasted on-line without really taking full advantage of the media / marketing channel available.

We enjoyed our holiday with Esprit this year and looking to book next year and sending brochures to our friends in Scotland just doesn&#039;t work - hence an interactive web site will help virtual planning / booking.

PS - when will we be able to book on-line as well?  Calling during working hours isn&#039;t always an ideal option.
