The skiing ranges from Champoluc in the Ayas Valley in the west to the Valsesia valley and Alagna in the East, with the Gressoney valley in the ideal position, right between the two. The area is becoming ever more popular with a number of informed and enthusiastic skiers, who appreciate the stunning scenery, the lovely long runs, great mountain restaurants and accessible off-piste opportunities.

Our new Chalet Hotel Valverde is located in the resort of Gressoney- La-Trinité, which is the principal village of the valley, with direct ski-lift access into the heart of the area. It is a quiet, neat little village with cobbled streets, a traditional church and traditionally styled wooden buildings, which combine to epitomise the charm of skiing in Italy. Meanwhile the area is surrounded by some of highest peaks in Europe and offers high altitude snow-sure skiing and fantastic views from its many atmospheric mountain restaurants. Selva Val Gardena is part of the Dolomites Superski, the world’s largest ski network.  This network covers 1,200km of well-groomed and easily accessible slopes and is connected by some 450 lifts and ski buses. A popular feature in the Dolomite Superski area is a range of ski tours which guide you round a range of circuits from the sporting to the romantic, stopping at wonderful panoramic viewpoints and mountain huts to sample the culinary specialities of the region, so each day another feature of this incredible area can be explored.
