Alpe d’Huez is a great, family friendly ski resort with tonnes of events that everyone can enjoy! Two nights per week, one of the chairlifts is kept open until around 7:30 in the evening meaning you can go and enjoy night sledging! There is a long luge at the top of the chairlift that everyone can fly down whether it be on a bum board or a toboggan. The luge ends right next to some of the cosiest bars in town so you can finish the evening with a warming hot chocolate (or even a Vin Chaud!)
Another great activity that can be enjoyed by families is the ice skating rink. With your six day lift pass you get one free entry to this which would normally cost you 7 euros. The ice rink stays open until 10pm meaning you can ice skate under the stars which is truly magical and a lovely evening to be enjoyed by all the family.
Even if your children aren’t skiing, there is plenty to do in resort. Our team will make sure they’re enjoying the snow and the beautiful surroundings even if they don’t have a pair of skis on their feet. Children will go out and make snowmen, go bum-boarding and we even play hidden treasure games within the Hotel. Children doing ski lessons with us will be together with the same children all week so that every week the children make very close friendships with one another and get to enjoy their holiday together.
Our childcare team are always coming up with new and exciting fun and games for all the children to enjoy. One of the most popular activities are the extreme arts and craft workshops. Last season our teams made a huge iron man the size of one of the nannies themselves! Their creations are then presented to the rest of the family and for all the other guests to see.
