By using GPS coordinates all the family can have fun finding a hidden treasure that another visitor to Val d’isere has left behind. Nature Reserves And National Parks
We are very lucky in Val d’Isère to be situated within the Vanoise National Park in the heart of the Savoie Region. The park was created in 1963, it was the first ever national park in France and it covers a vast territory where the stunning mountain landscapes with lakes and beautiful vegetation can be seen. The area is well-known for its population of the Alpine ibex and lots of many other animals such as Marmots, Chamois plus over 100 species of birds including the famous Val d’Isère eagle.
