Belle Plagne Snow Report, 21-Feb 2012
Snow depth at the top of the Paradiski ski area is 280cm and around our hotel the runs have a base of 175cm.
After the odd dusting of snow we have had over the past few days the resort is back to its sun shining self. Temperatures are reasonable with maximums around -2 and -4. All the runs have been opening offering a wide variety of skiing and also allowing the large amount of people skiing here in the past week to spread out making the resort not seem as busy as it actually is. Everyone is returning to the Hotel with rosy cheeks and smiles on their faces after a day in the sunshine.
The next 3 days brings warmer weather and some clouds. Wednesday sees sunshine all day with temperatures of -2 and a low wind speed of 5km/ph. Thursday is offering us some cloud sadly but temperatures have bumped up to -1. And Friday finally is the hottest day we have seen in a long time with sun and temperatures actually reaching above freezing.
Plenty happening in resort this week; on the 23rd and 24th Play station is hosting an event in Plagne centre where you can go and try the newest games for the year. Tonight brings a large precession and tombola to Plagne centre with over 300 prizes to be won. And Thursday the resort is hosting a poker tournament with other events happening along side such as a free airbag and dj set.
