La Rosiere Snow Report, 3-Feb 2012

La Rosiere, FranceSuperb conditions with 350cm of snow on the upper slopes of Le Belvedere and 233cm on the resort home runs.

After 45cm at the beginning of the week there’s been two days of clear skies and sunshine, and guests are enjoying the ideal ski conditions here in La Rosiere.

Despite very cold weather early on in the week, the conditions since have been some of the best that we have had in resort so far.

Guests have enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures of the spectacular views that La Rosiere has including the clouds filling up the valley to produce what the local people refer to as ‘Lake Tarrentaise’.

Apart from light snow this afternoon, the forecast for the next three days in La Rosiere is sunshine and clear skies.

Everybody is excited about the Esprit torchlit descent this evening. With hot chocolate for the children, hot wine for the adults and a raffle prize up for grabs, it is going to be a fun evening all round.

The local ice skating rink is offering a ‘have a go’ ice hockey session at 2.30pm this afternoon which is an ideal chance to learn some skills off some of the seasoned professionals.

A food tasting session is taking place tomorrow in our local supermarket. Cheese, hams and local produce are on offer as well as locally produced wines.
