Les Arcs Snow Report, 7-Feb 2012
Brilliant snow conditions remain across almost all areas of the piste with a whopping 3 metres at the top of the ski area and there are still some untracked powder fields to be discovered as well. A little known gem for retaining powder the longest is the area around the Clocheret lift above Arc 1600, which is still largely untouched at the moment.
There has been a distinct chill in the air in Les Arcs this week with visible ice crystals sparkling in the sunshine, but that is set to clear as warmer weather begins to creep into the air on Wednesday and Thursday. Bright, clear skies are on the cards until a light dusting of fresh snow arrives towards the end of the week.
Off the piste, crowds will be accumulating on Wednesday evening to witness the ice-skating show, with 11 professionals strutting their stuff and free Vin Chaud for the many onlookers.
