Peisey Snow Report, 31 Jan 2012
Snow is falling today and today 12cms are due. With over 3 meters of snow depth at the top of the ski area all of it accessible by Les Arc’s glacier Le Aguile Rouge, the skiing is amazing, if ever you where looking for fresh powder now is the time to visit as fresh tracks can still be found with little effort days after the last snow fall.
For those still learning to ski the conditions have never been better the pistes are remaining quite and well groomed from the start till the end of the day especially the leisurely Foret run that winds its way down the mountain between Peisey and Les Arc 1800 and for the more experienced riders the snow park in Les arc has just been built up this week featuring a whole selection of different sized kickers and boxes for those interested in freestyle skiing.
We are forecast 12cm of snow today followed by clear skies and light snow showers for the next 3 days. Temperatures sitting around -10 and -20 during the days so the snow will stay fresh and low wind speeds around 0 and 5kmh.
