Saas Fee Snow Report, 21-Feb 2012
A good 8cm fell at the weekend bringing the snow depth at the top of the ski area (at 3500m) to 345cm and runs into resort have a base of 80cm.
The recent dump of snow on Sunday provided a much needed boost to the powder level in Saas Fee. There is now a large amount of powder providing some amazing skiing both on and off piste. The off piste is superb with the perfect amount of powder to give you that feeling of weightlessness. And on piste the powder provides some superb carving, allowing you to kick up the snow.
The sunshine is continuing to shine on through the week, allowing for perfect visibility for those powdery conditions. The low wind levels also will ensure there will be fantastic skiing on powder over the entire week with no end in sight.
The carnival is drawing to a close with the last few fancy dress parties happening, including the big party in the town hall. Make sure to catch the parade and marching bands whilst you can, as carnival is not to be missed!!
