A Round-Up Of The Season!

1. Adventures of Bernie The St. Bernard From January, we have been hearing all about the adventures of Bernie. From his first ski lesson, to spending a day in Nursery with Bertie, he shows how he really is our hero!

Read the first in the series here, or see all of his adventures here.

2. Arlberg Announcements

There was some fantastic news for Lech & St Anton in the Arlberg Area in February. The world class ski area announced that they would be adding 4 new lifts for next season, meaning skiing between the 2 resorts would no longer require a segment of the journey to be on road by bus.
Read all of the details and plans here.

3. Ski Color in Les Gets

March saw the vibrant event ‘Ski Color’ return to Les Gets. Participants essentially ski down a prepared run whilst passing through ‘colour zones’ and being immersed in explosions of colour. Innovative to say the least..!

4. Matthew Pinsent Rows in Godalming!

Sports Relief in March saw Sir Matthew Pinsent visiting the Esprit office in Godalming in order to set an Olympic rowing challenge! Sir Matthew rowed as far as he could in 2 minutes and then our fittest and most active – or perhaps just most competitive staff members paid their donation in order to see if they could beat the target.

Sir Matthew as well as being a 4 time Olympic gold medal winner is also a keen skier and having travelled many times with Esprit Ski. We are proud to have such a role model as our brand ambassador, and it was certainly a highlight to see the him in action in the office!

5. Fear Factor

Watch our video to see how adults and kids dealt with their first ever skiing experience…

6. Skiing with Children

Sarah, mother of twins and author of blog Taming Twins gave us her top tips for skiing with children. From remembering that you children will appear fearless and may well terrify you, to clothing tips, her pointers are informative and helpful.

8. Sound like a Snowboarder

Ever wanted to talk and sound like a snowboarder? Possibly not, but what better way could there be of embarrassing the kids than by learning all of the slang!
Whether you want to be the steeziest boarder on the mountain, or just have a good laugh, our guide is a great place to start.
