Ski Holiday In Val d’Isère With Babies And Toddlers
Resort Child Care Manager, Laura, takes us through a few options for our younger guests in Part II of our Val d’Isère mini-series.

Val d’Isère; the high-altitude skiing of the legendary Espace Killy almost guarantees the very best conditions from late November to early May. It is a fabulous resort for skiing but it can also offer a great holiday experience for babies as well.
Whilst your children are in our nursery (and having a great time) and you are out and about, making the most of your week’s skiing, you can often feel a little guilty about leaving them. Although deep-down you know they are in great care, you will no-doubt want to do a little something with them. There’s a number of things you can do out in the resort together, so we have put a short list together of some activities that you can do with your children.
Swimming – your week’s ski pass covers a free day the Aqua Centre children under 5 years are free so you can enjoy a family swim.
Snowman building – very popular with the childcare staff in-resort. Snowman building is a great way to get your whole family together and ensure that everyone gets involved. Go on, build your own Olaf! Leave the singing to the children though!
Noughts and crosses – A classic game taken to the snow equals loads of fun! Draw out the tic-tac-toe board and start inserting the Xs and Os using a stick or your finger. When the game is over, you can wipe it away and start fresh or move to a new patch of snow. Make sure your little one’s hands are well covered if using fingers to play – they’ll get cold easily, otherwise.
Walk – Val d’Isère is a very easy town to walk around, the paths are always cleared so you can push buggies around and see the place on a leisurely stroll.
Bear in mind that the Chalet Hotel Ducs de Savoie is our Child Care hub, there’s lots for them to do with our great Snow Ranger team. Even our youngest guests can get out to enjoy the snow!
