Location
The Residence Le Taos is situated on the Lavachet piste so offering the benefit of a ski in and ski out position. From here just glide down to the Paquis or Chaudannes chairlifts. The smaller Lavachet lift is just outside and this takes you up a short way up so you can ski down to the centre of Tignes le Lac and our adult ski school meeting place.
Childcare and proximity to meeting places
In the mornings children in Sprite and Spritelet lessons are collected by our Esprit staff from the Residence and taken to the ski school meeting place to meet the ski instructor. Children are then returned to the residence at the end of the day or parents collect the children from the Evolution 2 Office if just morning lessons or lunch are booked.
Board basis
The apartments themselves are well equipped and all have kitchenettes with hot plates, microwave, oven coffee machine, toaster and fridge. There is a supermarket in Tignes le Lac just 5 minutes' walk from the residence and a number of restaurants are close by if you want to go out and eat.
It is also possible to pre-book the food delivery service provided by Huski with meals for 3, 5 or 6 days.
Apartments
There is a wide range of accommodation with one bedroom apartments for families of four and well as two or three bedroom apartments for larger families.
The apartments are well equipped and beds are made on arrival. Towels are provided and there is free Wi-Fi. The kitchenettes all have ceramic hot plates, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and cafetiere. A small cleaning kit is provided and end of week cleaning is included (apart from the kitchen area and any washing up). All apartments also have a flat screen TV, hair dryer, towel rails/dryers and a safe.
The apartments are all well stylishly decorated taking inspiration from the Taos Pueblo in New Mexico with the use of these traditional colours on the walls and for soft furnishings.
Cots and high chairs can be provided, please request when booking.
Facilities
There is a bar lounge open with comfy seating and a billiard table. The bar is open from 4pm to 10pm serving hot drinks and cocktails and speciality waffles from 4pm to 7pm for an after-skiing snack.
The indoor pool is open from 10am to 8pm for all people staying at the Taos and there is also a sauna and steam room open from 3pm daily.
Massages and beauty treatments are also available.
There is a ski and boot room in the residence with boot warmers.
Le Taos has been awarded as a Travellers' Choice by Trip Advisor 2020 and 2021 and the Famille Plus label (Family Plus) in France.
Please note that there is a tourist tax or Taxe de Sejour payable locally of €2.75 per adult (over 18 years) per night.

Eating Out in Tignes
Although the apartments are self catering, there are options to eat out within a few minutes' walk of the residence. These range from pizzas to more traditional and local specialities.
The kitchenettes make it easy to self cater and the local supermarket is close by, as well as a local bakery for fresh baguettes and croissants in the mornings.
You can as well pre-book a food delivery service which is provided by our partners Huski. There is a choice of 3, 5 or 6 day dinner only or full package options. The full package includes breakfast, afternoon tea and 3 course evening meals (with wine for adults). The food is delivered as fresh or frozen and full instructions are given. Vegetarian options are available.
