Location

The Residences Village Montana is a complex of five apartment buildings close to the Hotel Village Montana and located on the edge of the slopes. The apartments are located in Les Almes area of Tignes, just up from the centre of Tignes le Lac. The piste runs close to the Granier and Airelles buildings, the others are on the other side of the road, and then you ski down to Les Almes chairlift and the Palafour and Toviere lifts. It's a 5 minute walk to the centre of Tignes Le Lac. From the bottom of the Village Montana complex there is a bus stop with the frequent ski shuttle going all the way up to Val Claret.

Childcare and proximity to meeting places

In the mornings children in Sprite and Spritelet lessons are signed in to Esprit staff at the Hotel Village Montana and then Improvers and above ski down with an instructor to their lessons whilst beginners and Spritelets are taken by minibus. Children are then returned to Village Montana at the end of the day.

Board basis

If you are looking for quality accommodation with excellent facilities that is close to the pistes and that gives you the freedom to chose whether to self cater or eat out locally then Village Montana has it all.

A half board option is available to pre-book with breakfast and dinner taken at Hotel Village Montana. It is also possible to pre-book the food delivery service provided by Huski with meals for 3, 5 or 6 days.

Apartments

There is a wide range of accommodation with two bedroom apartments for families of four, three bedroom apartments and even five bedroom apartments for up to ten people.

The apartments are well equipped and a good choice for a family stay. The kitchen areas all have ceramic hot plates, traditional oven, microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher, cafetiere, toaster and pressure cooker. A small cleaning kit is provided including sponge, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets and end of week cleaning is included (apart from the kitchen area and any washing up). The reception also has fondue and raclette sets if you want to have a local style meal.

The apartments are all well decorated and you can chose a type whereby nobody has to sleep in the lounge area. Beds are made up on arrival and towels are included with a midweek change.

Facilities

The Hotel Village Montana has the 'Spa Les Bains du Montana' with an outdoor pool (heated to 30˚C), sauna, steam room, whirlpool and relaxation area with herbal teas. There is a local charge of €10 per adult per day (or €5 for children under 15). Massages and beauty treatments are also available.

If you book the 3 bedroom and cabin apartment (100m²) in the Airelles Residence then your apartment will have its own whirlpool and sauna.

Our partner ski hire shop is located just at the entrance to the complex and there are also heated ski rooms for overnight storage.

Sprite Beginners

5-9 years

Ideal if your child is a complete beginner or cannot do a basic snowplough turn yet. The ski classes are in the morning for 2-2½ hours tuition.

6-10 years

Improver morning classes (2-2½ hours tuition) are for 6-10 year-olds who can cope easily with all types of ski-lift and execute confident snowplough turns on blue runs.

7-12 years

Esprit Sprite Intermediates are morning classes of 2-2½ hours tuition, for 7-12 year-olds who have skied for at least two weeks and are starting to parallel ski, but still rely on snowploughing on trickier red runs.

Mountain Academy

6-12 years

Mountain Academy runs in the afternoon, straight after supervised lunch (included) in our French resorts. Sessions are tailored to suit the slightly older children (6+) and include fun challenges on the mountain.

Sprites Snow Club runs in the afternoon straight after lunch (included). Sessions are tailored to suit the children’s ages and include a myriad of fun activities.

6-11 years

Ideal if your child is 6-12 years old, can confidently snow plough on blue runs, and is keen to ski all day rather than joining Snow Club in the afternoon.
