Champoluc - in Italy's 'Three Valleys'

The Monterosa ski area is one of the largest ski areas in Italy, covering a large network of pistes and lifts linking Italy's Three Valleys. Here, you'll feel like you're discovering something unspoilt every day as the pistes are so varied and generally uncrowded.

The key attraction of our accommodation, Hotel de Champoluc, is the proximity to the skiing with the Crest Gondola right next door. From here you can head up to the beginners' area at the mid station, rise up 2,7028m to the runs above Frachey and take an additional lift to Col Le Betteforca into the Gressoney Valley to Stafal, the Punta Indren and Alagna.

The area is becoming more popular with British skiers due to the range of skiing, but also the value for money on the slopes. The scenery is simply stunning and the pistes are long with many being tree-lined as well as great off-pistes and even heli-skiing available. As you would expect in Italy the mountain restaurants offer great food and places for lunch with prices much lower than in other ski areas of this size.
