Big Changes For The Arlberg!

The developments on the big Arlberg lift build have come on leaps and bounds since we first announced the news in February. So we thought it was time to show you how they are coming along in resort…

First things first, let’s recap by showing you where these lifts will be:

Using the Arlberg Area Lift pass, which gives you access to 305km of downhill skiing with 87 lifts and cableways, you can now ski the ENTIRE of the Arlberg, without stepping foot on a bus!

How will this work? If you were to start in Zurs, just jump on the Trittkopfbahn I which will take you to the brand new intermediate station, which we have to say, is looking pretty amazing already!

Once you arrive at this new station, you can choose to head up to the top station of Trittkopfbahn II, or use the new Flexenbahn to head over to Alpe Rauz, Stuben.

Riding the Flexenbahn will be an incredible experience with stunning views reaching the Arlberg Pass and into the Klostertal valley! But have the camera ready, as this speedy lift will only have the travel time of 6 minutes! That means they can transport up a whopping 2,400 persons per hour!!!

Stay at the Chalet Hotel Pepi Gabl and you could explore all of St. Anton and St. Christoph. If that isn’t quite enough for you, just jump on the Albonabahn II where you can continue to explore Stuben.

We are really excited for this build to complete, ready for you to explore not just St. Anton, but also St. Christoph, Stuben, Zurs, Lech, Oberlech, Schrocken and Warth. Costing over EUR 45million, we are sure this is going to be an out of this world development!

Thinking of Austria for Winter 16/17? Well we have some great news for you.

Currently, despite having the united ‘Arlberg Area lift-pass’, in order to ski from St. Anton to Lech you need to hop on a bus either from St.Anton or St.Christoph. But at the beginning of Winter 2016/17, you will be able to use one of the FOUR brand new cableways connecting the entire Arlberg Area!

So what does this really mean for you? By going to St. Anton you will be able to ski Austria’s largest contiguous skiing area which boasts a total of 305km of downhill skiing as well as 87 lifts and cableways and not once will you rely on the bus from the St. Anton side, to the Lech side!
