We have a team of experienced managers based overseas, who look after all aspects of the organisation and administration of our operation. They visit our resorts regularly to ensure all aspects of the programme are running as they should and that our high standards are always maintained.
Resort Managers & Representatives
Our Resort Managers and Representatives are responsible for ensuring that your chosen resort runs like clockwork, and for assisting you through any little difficulty which may arise. They are chosen not only for their management and language skills, but also for their commitment, energy and enthusiasm.
Chefs & Chalet Hosts
In our larger chalets and all our Chalet Hotels we employ professional chefs to run the kitchens, whilst in smaller chalets, our Chalet Hosts are trained and experienced cooks who prepare and host the evenings’ dinner party-style meals. We also run our own intensive pre-season catering course, and our catering staff are trained to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s Level 2 in Food Safety or equivalent.
Our children’s Snow Clubs are run by our team of Esprit Snow Rangers, who are experienced in childcare and to whom we give further in-house training to ensure our young guests have a happy, safe and fun-filled holiday.
The Snow Rangers will be involved in escorting children to and from their ski classes, staying with the Spritelets (3 & 4 year-olds) and the Sprite Beginners during their ski lessons, and ensuring that the Snow Club sessions offer a stimulating, fun and friendly time for children. They will also gladly keep you up to date with what your own children have been up to during the day!
Nannies & Nursery Assistants
All our nurseries are run by professionally qualified Nursery Nurses – NNEB, B Tech, NVQ 2/3, CACHE DCE 3 or equivalent trained, all of whom will be native English-speakers. We also run further pre-season training to ensure that our Nursery management conforms to our own high standards, developed over many years experience. In most of our nurseries, we also have Nursery Assistants to support the Nannies, and all the team share a dedication and enthusiasm for working with young children.
In Obergurgl we offer our FREE Ski Hosting service for our guests. Watch out for the Ski Hosting service highlighted on the relevant resort page.
Our representatives who know the resorts will show you the best runs and slopes. They will not give any kind of 'instruction' or act as a mountain guide, nor ski off-piste but the service is just to help you get know the area in convivial company. The service is on a a first-come first-served basis, and subject to your skiing ability being of an appropriate level and full details will be available on arrival from your Obergurgl rep. This service will be available at least three days a week.
We regret that the French and Italian authorities have recently banned UK ski operators from offering our popular Ski Hosting service. It is not a ruling that we agree with and we are working hard to get this reinstated, but meanwhile have been forced to suspend this service in all our French resorts and in Gressoney, and very much regret the disappointment this may cause.
